“This Album is very Emotional and special personally for me as it holds the history of Liberation War of Bangladesh. During Writing this album, one thing I realized that if there Was no Bangladesh, there just might not be any Existence of Sazzad Arefeen as a musician Today.  I also Feel like music is still to be heard first, so for this release I concentrated more on the Audio, and Audio Visualizers only, because I want to have listeners who wants to listen what the sound talks first and Feel what I felt during recording all tracks. “

Track List and Synopsis:

1. Eyes of The Bengal

Holds the spirit of 1952 , The Bengali language movement was a political movement in former East Bengal (renamed East Pakistan in 1952) advocating the recognition of the Bengali language as an official language of the then-Dominion of Pakistan in order to allow its use in government affairs, the continuation of its use as a medium of education, its use in media, currency and stamps, and to maintain its writing in the Bengali script.

2 . Blood Born

The 7 March Speech of Bangabandhu was an historic speech given by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Founding Father of Bangladesh on 7 March 1971 at the Ramna Race Course (now Suhrawardy Udyan) made in Dhaka to a gathering of over 10 lakh (1,000,000) people. It was delivered during a period of escalating tensions between East Pakistan and the powerful political and military establishment of West Pakistan. In the speech, Bangabandhu informally declared independence of Bangladesh, proclaiming: “The struggle this time, is a struggle for our liberty. The struggle this time, is a struggle for our independence.” He announced a civil disobedience movement in the province, calling for “every house to turn into a fortress”. The speech inspired the Bengali people to prepare for a war of independence amid widespread reports of armed mobilisation by West Pakistan. The Bangladesh Liberation War began 18 days later when the Pakistan Army initiated Operation Searchlight against Bengali civilians, intelligentsia, students, politicians, and armed personnel.

3. Dead Read Flowers

Operation Searchlight was the codename for a planned military operation carried out by the Pakistan Army in an effort to curb the Bengali nationalist movement in former East Pakistan in March 1971. Pakistan retrospectively justified the operation on the basis of anti-Bihari violence carried out en masse by the Bengalis earlier that month. Ordered by the central government in West Pakistan, the original plans envisioned taking control of all of East Pakistan’s major cities on 26 March, and then eliminating all Bengali opposition, whether political or military, within the following month.

The independence of Bangladesh was declared on 26 March 1971 at the onset of the Bangladesh Liberation War by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman; the following day the declaration was broadcast by Major Ziaur Rahman in a radio broadcast. On 10 April, the Provisional Government of Bangladesh issued a proclamation on the basis of the previous declaration and established an interim constitution for the independence movement.
